About

New Jersey based Curator & Multi-disciplinary Artist working in installation, mixed media, & painting.

My artwork explores the political state of the United States of America. It questions the political machine of the American government, American Military Complex, and the surrealist concept that is the “American Dream”. As a first generation Circassian American growing up in a post 9/11 America all I've known in my life is political conflict.

Through my artwork I try to show the consequences of political/corporate greed in the name of “Freedom”  and the effects of the perceptual blindness that it has caused on the American population. The context of my work stems from my families and my own experiences in the world and how our lives have subliminally become consumed with the facade of politics.

My practice derives from the immediate world around me. I create installations and collages that incorporate found objects such as window frames, televisions, empty bullet shells, American flags, prescription pills, magazines, and newspapers obtained from the NJ/NY area. My artwork aims to articulate  my views on the world around us in ways that I may not be able to express through speaking, to provoke and to engage the mind of the viewer by forcing them to think and question the powers that be.
